GTA Market: Strong Price Growth in April - Toronto Real Estate Board (TREB) reports average prices up 9% compared to 2010. Listings were down 15% from May 2010. The shortage of supply contributed to the price increase and sales were up 6% over last year.

Local Market is even stronger and prices are up more than the GTA. t he story is even stronger in Halton Hills. Sales volume and listings are about the same as last year. However, average prices were up 12% over last year and 6% over last month (April). This is incredible. And the really positive news is there is no sign of this declining during the next month or two.

The really good houses are selling quickly and at higher prices. Also the market is strong and stable. What makes a really good house - all the usual things: Condition, Location and Price. If your house is in good condition and is staged professionally then you can command a better price and a faster sale. Our last six listings were sold in less than a week and they were all professionally staged and pre-inspected by a professional home inspector.
